ORLANDO, Fla., July 20 (UPI) -- U.S. company Lockheed Martin announced its DAGR rocket technologies have tested successfully on a second platform in two months.
Lockheed Martin says it has successfully launched its DAGR rockets from an AH-6 Little Bird helicopter while airborne at the Yuma Army Proving Ground in Arizona.
The announcement follows a recent test of the DAGR on the AH-64D Apache helicopter, marking the second successful test of the rockets in two months.
Company officials say the DAGR rocket tests, conducted using a ground designator and then self designation, successfully hit designated targets in two trials.
"Not long ago we fired DAGR from an airborne Apache, and we are pleased to add the Little Bird to the roster of platforms that have demonstrated integration with the DAGR system," Jerry Brode, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control DAGR program manager, said in a statement.
