ATLANTA, July 17 (UPI) -- Gideon Technologies announced its SecureFusion has been selected by the U.S. General Services Administration as a preferred information security solution.
U.S. company Gideon Technologies' SecureFusion, a platform for network configuration auditing and continuous monitoring as well as vulnerability scanning among other capabilities, was selected by the General Services Administration for its SmartBUY initiative. The selection designates the technology as a preferred information security solution.
The Homeland Security Department, in partnership with the General Services Administration's SmartBUY initiative, selected SecureFusion for three categories under its Situational Awareness and Incident Response program.
"SecureFusion cost effectively and efficiently helps government agencies automate and meet cyber-security and information technology compliance mandates that protect the government's information against an ever-increasing amount of security breaches and threats," Ken Halley, Gideon Technologies chief executive officer, said in a statement.
