EODT to continue security ops at Kalagush

LENOIR CITY, Tenn., July 17 (UPI) -- The U.S.-led Combined Joint Task Force 101 has awarded EOD Technology Inc. a follow-on contract to continue providing security services in Afghanistan.

U.S. company EODT was awarded the contract by the Combined Joint Task Force 101 to continue its security services within the Task Force Duke Area of Operations in Eastern Afghanistan.

Under the $1.4 million task order EODT will secure entry control points, deploy units to guard towers and conduct surveillance operations around the perimeter of Forward Operating Base Kalagush, Afghanistan, among other requirements.

"We are pleased and prepared to move forward with the mission of securing Kalagush and protecting our military men and women serving there," Matt Kaye, EODT president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"Our security professionals understand the risks involved and will deliver the highest level of security possible."
