Ball to continue MASINT/AGI work

DAYTON, Ohio, July 17 (UPI) -- U.S. company Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corp. has been contracted to continue its support for the Advanced Technical Exploitation Program.

Ball was awarded the follow-on deal from the U.S. Air Force National Air and Space Intelligence Center to continue on as a prime contractor.


As part of the contract, worth $600 million among three contractors, Ball will continue to provide the Advanced Technical Exploitation Program with Measurement and Signature Intelligence and Advanced Geospatial Intelligence.

Officials say as part of the contract, Ball will provide airborne electro-optical, laser intelligence and radio frequency measurement and signature intelligence among other requirements.

"Ball Aerospace has participated in the development and implementation of innovative data exploitation technologies as a prime contractor since the early 1980s and we are very pleased that our strong performance has earned the trust and confidence of National Air and Space Intelligence Center to continue advancing emerging MASINT/AGI capabilities," David Taylor Ball president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
