FAIRFAX, Va., July 2 (UPI) -- Argon ST has been contracted to provide maritime intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance upgrade services in support of the U.S. littoral battle-space.
U.S. company Argon ST announced it has received approximately $29.8 million in contracts from undisclosed defense and intelligence customers. The company says as part of the contracts it will supply intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance upgrades for maritime applications.
The maritime ISR work is expected to support the U.S. littoral battle space with multipurpose, modular, upgradable platforms.
"We are proud of this award as it is a vote of confidence for both the personnel involved as well as the technology we have designed and are deploying," Kerry Rowe, Argon ST president and chief operating officer, said in a statement.
"Argon's commitment to lighthouse and commercial off-the-shelf technology-based design is directly in line with future military platforms. It is a cost-efficient and very effective way to design, from the outset, systems that need to keep pace with the ever-advancing threat ISR technologies."
