ARLINGTON, Va., June 30 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has contracted CACI International Inc. to provide the Total Ammunition Management Information System with munitions modernization support.
U.S. company CACI was awarded the Army deal through the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-2 Services contract vehicle. Under the $30 million award, CACI will provide the Army TAMIS with munitions management modernization and technical support.
Officials say the modernization will support both the Army and U.S. Marine Corps with capabilities for managing training and war-time munitions.
"This new contract for our ongoing work with the Army is a highly valued addition to the broad array of support CACI provides across the service's entire global enterprise," Paul Cofoni, CACI president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"The critical effort involved is a key component in supplying warfighters with the tools they need to counter the threat of terrorism."
