HEBRON, Ohio, June 1 (UPI) -- Ohio-based ArmorSource has partnered with Eye Tactical Inc. to develop a next-generation protection system for military combat helmets.
U.S. Defense Department-approved advanced combat helmet vendor ArmorSource announced it has teamed with Eye Tactical to launch a helmet with a new advanced lightweight protection system.
The partnership between ArmorSource and Eye Tactical, a developer of eye and facial protection technologies for the defense and homeland security markets, is part of an effort to address evolving threats to soldiers in modern combat zones.
"As an authorized supplier of ballistic helmets to the U.S. government, we continuously search for new solutions that would further enhance the various threats of today and tomorrow's warfighter," Yoav Kapah, ArmorSource president and chief technology officer, said in a statement.
"We have decided to join forces and technologies with Eye Tactical, which we appreciate as a leading developer of helmet accessories and high-end solutions for face and lower-head protection."
