GD awarded follow-on for intel system

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., May 21 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has awarded General Dynamics a follow-on contract for the integration of additional tactical signals intelligence systems into Army vehicles.

U.S. company General Dynamics says its C4 Systems unit was awarded the contact to deliver Prophet Enhanced tactical signals intelligence systems. Under the $3 million contract, General Dynamics will integrate its Prophet Enhanced technologies into the Army's Medium Mine Protected Vehicles.

The Prophet Enhanced systems offer operators of tactical vehicles additional intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities and the ability to deter signal emissions in combat zones.

"The Prophet Enhanced System delivers support to the tactical battlefield, with the flexibility to quickly incorporate new technologies as they become available," Manny Mora, General Dynamics C4 Systems Battle Management vice president, said in a statement.
