FALLS CHURCH, Va., May 21 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has contract DynCorp International to support rotary wing aircraft maintenance in Germany and at other locations in Europe.
U.S. company DynCorp was awarded the maintenance deal as part of the Army's Contract Field Team program. Under the $170 million task order, DynCorp will provide maintenance services for the Army's rotary wing aircraft.
Officials say the in-theater aviation maintenance support contract is for Army aircraft primarily in Germany along with other unspecified European locations.
"This award demonstrates the long-term commitment of DynCorp International to the U.S. Army's theater aviation operations in Europe, and our continued support to the U.S. military under the Contract Field Team program," William Ballhaus, DynCorp chief executive officer and international president, said in a statement.
