QinetiQ to provide Navy with C4ISR support

PHILADELPHIA, May 14 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has contracted QinetiQ North America to provide support for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance programs.

U.S. company QinetiQ said its Systems Engineering Group was awarded the contract from the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific, known as SSC-Pacific, as part of the SeaPort-enhanced contract vehicle.

Under the $7.2 million deal, QinetiQ will provide the SSC-Pacific with support for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, or C4ISR, programs.

Included as part of the C4ISR programs award, QinetiQ will open an information technology equipment warehouse for the SSC-Pacific's Product Distribution Center in Philadelphia, among other services.

"We are thankful for the opportunity to demonstrate the full extent of our company's knowledge and expertise in process management, as well as our in-depth understanding of customer needs and how to resolve them," Hank Staub, Product Distribution Center operations manager for QinetiQ's defense-solutions sector, said in a statement.
