Transtech to distribute Xenonics tech

CARLSBAD, Calif., May 13 (UPI) -- Transtech International has signed an agreement to become the distributor for Xenonics Holdings' night-vision technologies in the Chinese market.

Arizona-based Transtech International signed a deal to purchase a minimum of 1,000 of Xenonics SuperVision night-vision systems over two years for distribution and marketing in China.

Xenonics' SuperVision is a high-definition night-vision technology for military, public-sector and public-safety applications in low-light situations.

"This agreement opens a potentially enormous new market for SuperVision," Alan Magerman, Xenonics chairman, said in a statement.

"Our new distribution partner has an impressive record of success stretching back over more than a decade in the Chinese market, and we are confident they will be just as successful developing the market for our proprietary SuperVision systems."
