WEST BETHESDA, Md., May 13 (UPI) -- QinetiQ North America has been contracted by the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center's Carderock Division to provide computing-systems support.
QinetiQ said its Systems Engineering Group was awarded the contract to support the Maryland-based Ship Engineering and Analysis Technology Center, known as SEATech.
According to a news release, SEATech supports the Naval Surface Warfare Center with "advanced computational, networking, visualization and collaborative facilities for use by a wide range of Navy and Department of Defense organizations."
Under the five-year, $4.4 million deal awarded under the Navy's SeaPort-enhanced contract vehicle, QinetiQ will provide SEATech with management, computing-system and network-engineering support services, among other requirements.
