Saab announces partnership with IFS

SCHAUMBURG, Ill., May 7 (UPI) -- Sweden-based Saab has partnered with IFS to expand its information technology support capabilities.

Saab reached a deal to use the IFS Applications suite. Officials said IFS Applications will be used through Saab's support division, involving IT and information-management services. The IFS Applications will also aid in future sales and development.

The partnership, developed for commercial aviation, the defense market applications and others, will first support Saab's commitment with the Swedish air force's SK-60 trainer aircraft system.

"We are examining several other possibilities, with both military and civil authorities, and have set up an organization in collaboration with IFS for combined marketing activities, sales and development," Goran Kristoffersson, Saab Aerotech business development manager, said in a statement.
