MCLEAN, Va., May 6 (UPI) -- U.S. company i2 Inc. has launched its new intelligence platform designed to help the defense and homeland-security communities counter terrorist threats.
Intelligence and investigation management software developer i2 has released its Intelligence-Led Operations Platform. i2 said its new platform is part of an effort to address the evolving sophistication of criminal and terrorist threats.
Officials said the i2 Intelligence-Led Operations Platform will support military and homeland-security authorities as they prevent and predict potential threats with real-time incident management and investigation capabilities in a post-incident environment.
"Predictable and rational criminal and terrorist patterns have given way to chaotic events and violent extremism," Chriss Knisley, i2 assistant vice president, said in a statement.
"As a result, organizations demand a solution that not only helps them solve complex challenges but gives them the tools to identify and prevent threats before they occur. The i2 Intelligence-Led Operations Platform has been designed for this very purpose."
