Tompkins selected for Fort Eustis work

WASHINGTON, May 1 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has contracted Tompkins Builders to supply construction management services for a project at Fort Eustis in Virginia.

U.S. company Tompkins Builders was selected by the Army Corps of Engineers to manage the construction of the new Training and Doctrine Command Headquarters and also a band building facility.

Officials say the Training and Doctrine Command Headquarters will be required to meet leadership in energy and environmental design silver certification to support the Army's sustainability initiatives.

"We are extremely proud to serve as part of the building team on this important project to benefit the military personnel serving on the Fort Eustis base and to continue our successful building relationship with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers," Ed Small, Tompkins Builders president, said in a statement.
