MCLEAN, Va., April 20 (UPI) -- U.S. Strategic Command has contracted Science Applications International Corp. to support the Air Force Weather Agency.
U.S. company SAIC was awarded the Stratcom Systems and Mission Support II prime follow-on contract to continue providing life cycle program management support for the Air Force Weather Agency, the Defense Department agency responsible for mission-critical weather and space environment information.
The contract, managed by the Air Force 55th Contracting Squadron, is worth more than $12 million if all options are exercised.
"SAIC has been providing the Air Force weather community with advisory and assistance services for the past 15 years," Tom Baybrook, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager, said in a statement.
"We look forward to continuing our support, delivering quality services and counsel that help them accomplish their critical missions."
