Harris opens new office to support NGA

ST. LOUIS, April 20 (UPI) -- Harris Corp. has opened a new office in St. Louis to provide support services for the U.S. National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

U.S. company Harris said its new office will support the NGA's Global Geospatial-Intelligence program with imagery processing, foundation data, mapping and other high-resolution imagery-derived geospatial data services.

Officials said the Harris office was opened as part of an effort to address the NGA's evolving needs in the production of intelligence products for policymakers and military decision planners.

"The proximity of our new program office to the facilities of the NGA and other federal agencies here in St. Louis enables us to have collaborative relationships and face-to-face communications that ensure optimum project planning, as well as quick delivery of the highest-quality geospatial products," Sheldon Fox, Harris National Intelligence Programs president, said in a statement.
