MONTVILLE, N.J., April 16 (UPI) -- U.S. company Marotta Controls announced its pure-air generation technologies are ready for deployment with the Hornet aircraft following successful tests.
Marotta said its MPACT 3000 pure-air generation system successfully completed first-article and flight-worthiness testing and is now ready for installation.
The MPACT is a pneumatic technology that supplies high-pressure pure air to the LAU-7 and LAU-127 missile launchers integrated with the F/A-18 Hornet fighter-aircraft variants.
"This represents another step forward for MPACT, and we hope this opens the door for integrating our high-pneumatic technology onto other platforms," Michael Leahan, Marotta vice president and chief sales officer, said in a statement.
"It is our goal to move MPACT pure-air compression technology into arms reach of any future weapon system that requires state-of-the-art high-pressure pneumatics."
