General Dynamics to support USARPAC

FAIRFAX, Va., April 14 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has contracted General Dynamics to provide information-assurance support services.

U.S. company General Dynamics said its information technology business unit was awarded the Army contract. Under the five-year, $14.5 million deal, General Dynamics will provide the Army Pacific, known as USARPAC, operations with information-assurance services.

Officials said General Dynamics will support USARPAC with IT security policy and guidance along with engineering support services for information assurance.

"General Dynamics will deliver highly qualified information-assurance professionals to support USARPAC's vital mission," Zannie Smith, General Dynamics Information Technology Army Solutions division senior vice president, said in a statement.

"We look forward to partnering with the command and providing secure access to critical information while safeguarding their information systems."
