MCA to provide computers to Navy program

IRVINE, Calif., April 13 (UPI) -- MCA Computer Corp. has been contracted to provide the U.S. Navy with refurbished computer equipment and support services.

U.S. company MCA, an information technologies supplier, was contracted by the U.S. government to provide end-of-life legacy server equipment in support of a Navy program.

Under the deal, MCA will provide the Navy with spare computer parts and power supplies along with technical and engineering support services.

"We are very pleased to have customers rely on us for high-quality MCA-certified refurbished, used and pre-owned HP, IBM, Sun and Cisco Systems hardware as well as our professional IT services," Paul Makhail, MCA chief executive, said in a statement.

"Customers that do take advantage of our comprehensive set of offerings benefit from a single source that brings more value to the overall IT life-cycle management process."
