NEW YORK, April 6 (UPI) -- Medis Technologies has partnered with Fraser-Volpe to develop electro-optic technologies to support U.S. military and homeland-defense operations.
U.S. companies Medis and Fraser-Volpe announced they have formed a partnership in a move to further expand into the defense and emergency-response markets.
Officials said the collaboration would involve the integration of Medis' fuel cell technologies with Fraser-Volpe's electro-optic technologies to develop a next-generation electro-optic system.
"Renewing our presence amongst military applications is a natural next step for Medis," Jose Mejia, Medis Technologies chairman and chief executive, said in a statement.
"We're proud to incorporate our leading fuel cell technology into yet another valuable product that can be useful to a variety of groups, including the United States military ... and other federal and local agencies."
