WASHINGTON, April 1 (UPI) -- Ingres Corp. has partnered with OpenTechWorks Inc. in a move to jointly expand further into the U.S. defense market.
Ingres, a developer of open-source database-management solutions, and technology development and consulting firm OTW have formed a strategic partnership to bid for contracts and projects from U.S. Defense Department agencies.
Officials said Ingres would jointly market its New Economics of Information Technology solution and other services, combined with OTW's federal open-technology implementations consulting capabilities for the strategic partnership.
"The OTW-Ingres partnership will provide high-value solution opportunities to our government and corporate clients," Robert Sterling, OTW president, said in a statement.
"Ingres is a dynamic technology company with strong leadership, and the Ingres database technology is proven in mission-critical government applications all over the world."
