ASHBURN, Va., March 27 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force has contracted Telos Corp. to provide network-centric services to support the Application Software Assurance Center of Excellence.
U.S. company Telos was awarded a Netcents contract modification from the Air Force's 754th Electronic Systems Group.
Under the approximately $6.7 million deal, Telos will help the center at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base in Alabama meet its mission addressing cybersecurity threats. "With the additional security provided by the center, the Air Force is better able to defend against application-level attacks, protecting sensitive information that in turn helps protect the nation," a news release said.
Officials said the contract includes training classes and services providing software licenses. The contract modification brings value of the task order to $15 million.
