Officials said the Global Sustainment Command Center, opened for a contract Lockheed Martin won to support land-based vehicle sustainment for U.S. military over 10 years, will provide inventory forecasting, order management and distribution of parts and supplies for military vehicles.

"This facility will provide robust and reliable service, leveraging recent innovations to meet the needs of the U.S. military," Rich Lockwood, Lockheed Martin New Ventures vice president, said in a statement.

"Ultimately, it all comes down to supporting the war fighter with the right part at the right place at the right time, every time."
