Officials said the majority of the support work from SAIC would take place at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana and would include helping AFNETOPS manage next-generation warfare, cyber defense and attack operations and other services.

"We look forward to supporting AFNETOPS and the evolution of the Air Force network warfare operations mission to a cyber capability with integrated processes, procedures, data and systems to support air, space and electromagnetic spectrum operations," Larry Cox, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager, said in a statement.
