MALVERN, Pa., March 12 (UPI) -- C4i Inc. has contracted U.S. company Rajant Corp. to provide its wireless networking systems to support multifrequency and multiagency data connectivity.
Pennsylvania-based Rajant was contracted to supply its wireless BreadCrumb technology for integration into C4i's SwitchplusIP Radio Interface Unit to support high-bandwidth mobile Internet protocol networking.
C4i said that with the integration of Rajant's BreadCrumb, the SwitchplusIP unit will better support voice over IP and IP data connectivity in multifrequency, multiagency settings for the defense and homeland security market.
"Rajant is thrilled to be selected as part of the C4i communications platform," Glenn Booth, Rajant vice president of marketing, said in a statement.
"C4i's reach-forward and reach-back capabilities allow command-post, command-center and mobile-dismount operators to efficiently control deployed communications assets. The low-power and rugged packaging of the (unit) is a good match with the Rajant wireless BreadCrumb and performs well in hostile military and mining environments."
