BATON ROUGE, La., March 6 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army awarded Shaw Group Inc. two contracts to provide mission-support services for installations in Alaska.

Louisiana-based Shaw Group said its Environmental and Infrastructure Group was selected by the Army Expeditionary Contracting Command to provide mission-support services at Fort Wainwright, Fort Richardson and the Seward Military Resort in Alaska.

As part of the two contracts, worth $158 million, Shaw Group will supply the installations with maintenance for buildings, training ranges and vehicles among other services through 2014

"Mission-support services are critical to the efficient operation of Department of Defense installations," George Bevan, Shaw's Environmental and Infrastructure Group president, said in a statement.

"Shaw's innovative public works solutions enable the U.S. Army in Alaska to continue providing safe, functional operating environments for their military personnel."
