Officials say security authorities use satID "to geolocate" potential interference threats on satellite communications. The announced acquisition also includes an agreement between Integral and QinetiQ to partner on future defense and intelligence projects.

"We are excited to bring this capability in-house to enhance our space situational awareness product and system offerings for our customers," John Higginbotham, Integral chief executive officer, said in a statement.
