CHICAGO, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Chicago-based Initiate Systems Inc. announced the launch of a data-management technology to help law enforcement officials identify potential threats.
Initiate Systems has released its new Initiate Entity Resolution technology. Company officials said the data management helps identify related information from multiple sources that would generally be considered unrelated.
The Entity Resolution system enables security authorities to manage associations between people, locations, vehicles, weapons and other data to identify potential suspects or threats.
"Cross-agency information sharing is critical for terrorist prevention," Bill Conroy, Initiate Systems president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"Initiate Entity Resolution takes information-sharing one step further by making associations and connections between and among the shared data, providing agencies with trusted, actionable intelligence."
