FALLS CHURCH, Va., Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Following the resolution of a protest, the U.S. Army's announced contract with DynCorp International for work in Kuwait has moved forward.
U.S. company DynCorp was awarded a Logistics Civil Augmentation Program IV contract from the Army Sustainment Command in November. Officials say the award was protested and placed under review.
The U.S. Government Accountability Office recently ruled to deny the protest, and DynCorp has been granted permission to proceed on the LOGCAP IV task order. Under the $77 million contract, DynCorp will provide the Army with in-transit logistics and management services in the Kuwait area of responsibility.
The contract also includes "base camp services, life support and operations and maintenance for U.S. government facilities, including designated debarkation seaport and airports," the release said.
