Force Dynamics names M-ATV project head

LADSON, S.C., Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Force Dynamics has named a new director to head the company's response to a U.S. Army mine resistant ambush protected vehicle solicitation.

Force Dynamics, a Force Protection and General Dynamics joint venture, has appointed Damon Walsh as its new program director. Walsh will lead Force Dynamics' response to the Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command's call for a MRAP-All Terrain Vehicle.

Force Dynamics announced it has submitted a bid for the TACOM M-ATV contract using Force Protection's Cheetah vehicle to support operations in Afghanistan.

"Appointing Damon Walsh to the role of program director for Force Dynamics demonstrates our commitment to delivering the best vehicle possible for the M-ATV solicitation," Michael Moody, Force Protection chief executive officer, and Mark Roualet, General Dynamics Land Systems president, said in a joint statement.
