SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Kairos Autonomi announced its vehicle add-on technology that allows for autonomous navigating was successfully deployed during a recent U.S. Navy exercise.
Utah-based Kairos says its Pronto4 Strap-on Autonomy System was successfully used by the Navy as a moving land target during recent live fire missile testing in Nevada.
Officials say the Pronto4 offers cost-effective target acquisition training for Navy pilots.
During the exercise pilots used enhanced laser-guided training rounds to target a common sedan with the Pronto4 installed from 15,000 feet. "The Navy determined that moving land target-based aerial training was indeed very valuable," the release said.
