Climatronics releases new UAV weather tech

BOHEMIA, N.Y., Feb. 9 (UPI) -- New York-based Climatronics Corp. announced the launch of a new surface weather input technology for use with unmanned aerial vehicle ground control stations.

Climatronics has released its new Tacmet II tactical weather station. Officials say the Tacmet II, mounted on or near the ground control station, offers UAVs operated by the U.S. military critical real-time surface weather information.

Climatronics says the Tacmet II is equipped with the company's trademarked WeatherView and AWeather software technologies that enable "real-time data display and analysis … on either a laptop or personal digital assistant," the release said.
