Army contracts SAIC for STOC II

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has awarded Science Applications International Corp. a deal for the company to provide training support as part of a contract vehicle.

U.S. company SAIC was awarded the contract from the Army Program Executive Office for Simulation Training and Instrumentation. The Army PEO STRI selected SAIC to participate in the Simulation and Training Omnibus Contract vehicle, or STOC II.

Under the STOC II deal, SAIC will provide training services and other support for Army PEO STRI strategic objectives, including life cycle management, analysis and the "sustainment of training and testing systems, instrumentation, and gaming system simulators," the release said.

"SAIC has a long history of support to this important customer," Beverly Seay, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager, said in a statement.

"We look forward to continuing to deliver innovative training capabilities to the Armed Forces."
