ETC selected to participate in PEO STRI

SOUTHAMPTON, Pa., Feb. 6 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has selected Environmental Tectonics Corp. to participate in a contract vehicle supporting the Army's training and simulation requirements.

Pennsylvania-based ETC was selected for the Army's Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation. As part of the deal, ETC will compete for the PEO STRI Omnibus Contract II task orders.

STOC II is designed to streamline mission training support services for the Army. Officials say ETC was contracted to compete for both the full and open STOC II lot and the small business STOC II lot worth approximately $17 billion in potential task orders.

"We are very pleased to have been awarded contracts in both STOC II Lots, and feel that ETC has a lot to offer PEO STRI in terms of our existing, proven simulation and training systems," William Mitchell, ETC president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"We anticipate that several of our business units will participate in upcoming requirements and hope to establish a long-term relationship with PEO STRI and their customers."
