MIAMI, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has invited Centriforce Technology Corp. to deliver a presentation on its desalination technologies for potential future contracts.
Florida-based CNFO says the Office of Navy Research extended the invitation to the company. With the invitation CNFO officials are expected to meet with Navy personnel Feb. 25 to present their desalination water purification process technology developments.
The Navy solicited the defense community for support of its Advanced Shipboard Desalination Systems program. CNFO developed its desalination technologies in response to the Navy call.
"We continue to see opportunities to expand the application of our desalination technology beyond traditional desalination plants," Matthew Schulman, CNFO president, said in a statement.
"We view the U.S. Navy as a sector where our technology would provide an economical, efficient method of providing clean water on board Navy vessels."
