BVR awarded weapon systems training deal

ROSH HAAYIN, Israel, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- BVR Systems Ltd., based in Israel, has been contracted to provide training for instructors who teach weapon systems operation.

BVR announced it was awarded $1.45 million from an undisclosed country's air force. Under the deal, BVR will provide military weapon systems instructors with advanced training.


Officials say BVR, a provider of training and simulation systems, will train instructors of weapon systems operators with air-to-air and air-to-surface methods and techniques, among other war fighter fundamentals.

"This contract award represents a broadening of BVR's product portfolio into the military instructional courses market, in accordance with our strategy of providing a complete training portfolio to our customers, and further reflects our customers' confidence in BVR's unique training capabilities and solutions," Ilan Gillies, BVR Systems chief executive officer, said.
