CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Jan. 27 (UPI) -- U.S. companies Scalable Network Technologies Inc. and VT MAK announced the launch of a new battlefield simulation technology for network-centric warfare.
SNT has partnered with MAK to release their Network Centric Forces technology. Officials say Network Centric Forces is a tool kit designed to create a network-centric communications battlefield simulation.
SNT and MAK developed their Network Centric Forces simulation tool kit to address the increasing integration of network-centric warfare into U.S. military operations. Network-centric warfare is a wireless communications infrastructure that enables advanced communication in combat zones.
"Representation of communications effects in battlefield simulation is rapidly being acknowledged as mandatory to achieve any level of credibility," Warren Katz, VT MAK chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"Whether it's experimentation, training, mission rehearsal or course of action analysis, this out-of-the-box digital battlefield simulation will save the user time, money, and provide the highest-quality representation of the effects of communication on the battlefield."
