Prowlers released for emergency response

ORANGE, Calif., Jan. 26 (UPI) -- U.S. company Phoenix International Systems Inc. announced the launch of new rugged terrain vehicle variants for the homeland security market.

Phoenix says its All Terrain Vehicle division has released new Prowler RTV variants designed to support emergency response and other homeland security situations.

Officials say the new Prowler RTV variants include a version for firefighting capabilities with a remote water-pumping station system and another version for medical emergency response, among other applications.

The new Prowler RTV variants are based on the widely deployed Prowler military-grade light tactical all-terrain vehicle and provide "reliability, stability, speed, endurance, power, all-terrain mobility and operator protection," the release said.
