SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash., Jan. 22 (UPI) -- U.S. company General Dynamics Itronix has launched its next-generation ruggedized computer notebook for security and law enforcement applications.
Based on its GoBook VR-2, General Dynamics Itronix released the new GD6000 vehicle-rugged notebook. Company officials say the GD6000 notebook is designed to withstand the rugged conditions the law enforcement community regularly encounters in the field.
The GD6000 meets temperature, vibration and humidity requirements of the U.S. Army's rugged MIL-STD 810F standards, among other features.
"The GD6000 is our next generation of rugged notebook, designed especially for a mobile workforce," John Schneider, General Dynamics Itronix business unit director, said in a statement.
"It meets their very specific requirements for durability and superior performance, while supporting increasingly complex applications."
