PASADENA, Calif., Jan. 21 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has awarded Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. a follow-on contract for continued support of the Airborne Threat Simulation Organization.
California-based Jacobs, which has supported ATSO since the late 1990s, will continue to help sustain threat simulation operations at the organization. Under the $43.8 million SeaPort-enhanced contract vehicle, Jacobs will support the Navy's ATSO through 2013 if all options are exercised.
Officials say Jacobs will lead a team that includes Aegir, Sa-Tech and Tessada on the renewed contract support ATSO work developing defense capabilities for the United States.
"We are pleased to continue our long relationship with the Navy," Craig Martin, Jacobs president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"We look forward to supporting them, as well as other Department of Defense customers, in this effort, which is critical to our nation's current and future defense capabilities."
