Micronetics to support jamming system

HUDSON, N.H., Jan. 9 (UPI) -- New Hampshire-based Micronetics says it has received a contract to support the production of radio frequency jamming technologies.

The firm fixed contract, from an unnamed defense contractor, is for Micronetics' New Jersey-based subsidiary Microwave Concepts. Under the deal, Microwave Concepts will deliver its microwave assemblies technologies for integration into radio frequency jammers widely used by the U.S. military to counter IED threats, among other defense and homeland security applications.

Officials say Microwave Concepts has begun deliveries of its microwave assemblies and will continue deliveries until July 2010.

"We continue to focus on integrating various broadband microwave technologies to support high-performance jamming systems and electronic systems modernization efforts," Tony Pospishil, Microwave Concepts general manager, said in a statement.

"We are proud to be a part of the enabling technology in this advanced jamming system."
