DHS contracts for secured data management

FALLS CHURCH, Va., July 16 (UPI) -- The U.S. Homeland Security Department has contracted CSC to provide the DHS data center at NASA's Stennis Space Center with secured data management.

Officials say the DHS contract has a potential value $391 million. Under the deal CSC will support secure managed data center services as part of an Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions contract.

CSC will support DHS data at the NASA John C. Stennis Space Center in Hancock County, Miss., with information technology management, among other services, as part of the DHS' consolidated IT Infrastructure Transformation Program.

"For this key program, CSC is providing the full depth and breadth of our corporate expertise in support of DHS' critical mission to protect our nation," James Sheaffer, CSC North American public sector president, said in a statement.

"CSC looks forward to further supporting the Stennis community and the important role it plays in national security."
