Iraq wants newsmen to monitor inspectors

BAGHDAD, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Iraqi Deputy President Taha Yassin Ramadan said Thursday Baghdad wants journalists to monitor the work U.N. arms inspectors to prevent "spies among them from sending fabricated reports." His remarks coincided with a U.N. Security Council debate on a U.S. draft resolution that warns Iraq it will face consequences if it obstructs the inspectors' work.
