Nov. 4 (UPI) -- The San Francisco 49ers have activated defensive lineman Ronald Blair III from the injured reserve list and promoted offensive lineman Darrell Williams Jr. to the active roster.
San Francisco announced the moves on Saturday. The 49ers also placed wide receiver Pierre Garcon on injured reserve due to a non-displaced fracture in his neck and released offensive lineman Bryce Harris.
Blair III entered the NFL as a fifth round pick by the 49ers in the 2016 NFL Draft. He had 18 tackles and three sacks in 16 games last season for the 49ers. The 6 foot 4, 270 pound lineman landed on injured reserve on Sept. 3. Blair III will wear No. 98 for the 49ers.
Williams Jr., listed at 6 foot 6, 310 pounds, entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent signing by the 49ers on May 4. He was cut on Sept. 2 and signed to the practice squad a day later. The Western Kentucky University product will wear No. 78 for the 49ers.
Harris signed with the 49ers on Wednesday. The 6 foot 6, 300 pound lineman entered the NFL in 2012 as an undrafted free agent signing with the Atlanta Falcons.
