Celine Dion posts rare photo of her twins on their birthday

Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Celine Dion gave fans a rare glimpse of her twins on their birthday.

The 49-year-old singer shared a picture with Eddy and Nelson, her younger sons with late husband Rene Angelil, from their Michael Jackson-themed birthday party Monday.

"Can't believe you are already 7 years old... Time flies! Happy birthday, my loves!" she captioned the image. "I'm so proud of all of my boys! Mom xx... [photo by]: @denisetruscello."

The snapshot shows Nelson and Eddy wearing black and white outfits inspired by Jackson, who died at age 50 in 2009. Several figurines of the late singer can be seen on a table in the background.

Dion is also mom to 16-year-old Rene-Charles, her eldest son with Angelil. She said in an interview with The Sun's Bizarre published in April that her sons have been a comfort since Angelil died at age 73 in January 2016.

"I organize myself to not feel lonely," the star shared. "So I got myself a huge, huge, huge bed and I sleep with my twins. They are comforting me a lot. I need them. I need them close."

"We have a little ritual where say goodnight to [Rene] with a little picture," she added. "Then the kids talk to him. And they write words, put them in balloons and we sent the balloons to the sky."

Dion last released the album Encore un soir in August 2016, and promoted the record on her Celine Dion Live tour this year. She remains in residence at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
