COL FB: Miami (Fla) 48, La Tech 0

MIAMI, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Devin Hester returned two punts for touchdowns Saturday as fourth-ranked Miami (Fla.) streaked to a 48-0 victory over Louisiana Tech.

The sophomore wide receiver/return specialist had a scoring return of 51 yards in the second quarter and one for 92 yards in the fourth quarter.

Miami (2-0) improved to 4-0 all-time versus Louisiana Tech.

Tyrone Moss had 69 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries, while Brock Berlin was 10-of-14 for 122 yards and a touchdown for the Hurricanes.

Louisiana State's Bulldogs (2-1) were on a two-game winning streak. They beat Nevada in their season opener and edged Louisiana-Lafayette last week.

Louisiana Tech's Ryan Moats, the nation's leading rusher heading into Saturday's game, ran for 81 yards on 14 carries. Matt Kubik completed five of his 10 attempts for 116 yards in the loss.
