IOWA CITY, Iowa, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Jeff Horner recorded 16 points, six rebounds and six assists Saturday as Iowa upset previously unbeaten and 6th-ranked Illinois, 63-48.
Adam Haluska scored 10 of his 15 points in the second half; Greg Brunner had eight points and a game-high 12 rebounds; and Mike Henderson had 10 points and eight boards for the Hawkeyes (12-4, 1-1 Big Ten).
Dee Brown -- who scored a career-high 34 points Thursday night against Michigan State -- was held to just six points on 2-for-13 shooting while also committing five turnovers; James Augustine registered 14 points and nine rebounds; and Shaun Pruitt had seven points and eight boards for the Fighting Illini (15-1, 1-1 Big Ten), who lost for only the second time in their last 56 regular season games.
Iowa out-rebounded Iliinois, 43-31.
