Ukraine's National Guard gets new vehicles

Six advanced armored personnel carriers delivered by Ukroboronprom subsidiary.

KIEV, Ukraine, May 16 (UPI) -- The Ukrainian National Guard has received six advanced armored personnel carriers from Ukroboronprom subsidiary Kyiv Armored Plant.

Ukroboronprom provides all weapons and equipment for the country's army, according to a statement announcing delivery of the BTR-3E1D model vehicle.

The conglomerate has also spearheaded a transition to high-tech manufacturing, NATO standards and equipping the army with modern materiel.
