U.S. Army taps ICF International to help combat cyber threats

FAIRFAX, Va., May 27 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army Research Laboratory has selected ICF International to provide cyber network defense research and services, the company announced Tuesday.

The contract covers analytical and engineering services in core areas of computer network defense -- including protect and sustainment services and system engineering/development support -- for the capture and use large quantities of real-time data to validate research into new methods and tools to combat threats to critical U.S. infrastructure.

"ICF is pleased to continue to provide this valuable service to the U.S. Army Research Laboratory and to help research and develop next-generation tools and techniques that defend against the growing attacks on networks and data," said Bill Christman, vice president for ICF International.

The award is a re-compete contract with a term of three years. Its value is $50 million.

ICS International is a provider of consulting services and technology, serving both the government and commercial customers.
